Background
We loved this website from the moment we heard about it, a few months before it launched in February 2007. RedBubble is now the number one Australian online community for creative people. Not only can people post their work on the website but they can chat with other creative people, make comments about their work (only positive feedback is encouraged) and also track any of the artists that take their interest.
What we love about the site is that membership of RedBubble is free; artists retain their copyright, set their own prices and choose which products they want to sell. Then, if people want to buy, they can choose to have it framed, mounted or even printed as a t-shirt and delivered straight to their door.
Publicity Campaign
RedBubble was lots of fun to work on – we got a phenomenal response and it grew so quickly and had so many artists involved it was easy to come up with new angles all the time! We particularly liked it that they tracked the results of any article or interview we got them, and eventually decided that the publicity was creating substantial awareness. Visitors to the site spiked noticeably when certain stories were published.
We got a huge amount of publicity for RedBubble and really enjoyed every minute of it.
