Background

Jules stumbled across the Mosquito-Click whilst in Queensland on holidays in late 2007 and decided then that she was determined to get publicity for the useful little gadget!

Mosquito-Click is a chemical-free way to stop the itchiness and inflammation of mosquito, sandfly, bull ant – and even jellyfish - stings.  It works using a sort of mini electric shock (but it doesn’t hurt!). You just hold the device like a pen, point the narrow end on the bite and click to stop the itching. Another few clicks can stop the swelling as well.

Perfect for everyone, but especially for people who get an allergic reaction to mozzie bites and for children (from 6 months).

Once we had contacted Intelligent Health (the Australian distributor) who again, had never done any PR so didn’t know what to expect, we set off to spread the word. We certainly struck a nerve with the media!

Publicity Campaign

The campaign has been a huge success. Better Homes and Gardens (Ch 7 and Lifestyle Channel) picked up the story and ran it on the show and in the magazine, as well as getting many other magazines to cover it. Intelligent Health have hardly been able to keep up with demand!

As the Sales and Marketing Manager of IHS, I am inundated with calls weekly, from companies that profess to "make a difference". Being a skeptic, I have never engaged anyone, that was until I met with Jules Brooke from Handle Communications.
