Background

When Graham Strachan and Glen Macdonald from Ultimate Products initially approached us about promoting Aquatain we were excited! They had patented the product and were ready to let the rest of Australia know about it – and we were delighted to help.

Aquatain is a silicone-based liquid which forms a very thin (one molecule thick) film on the surface of the water and significantly helps to stop evaporation. Not only is it extremely effective, it’s also easy to apply as the silicone molecules repel each other giving almost instant coverage to the whole surface.

With most of Australia suffering drought conditions, we felt this was a significant breakthrough and this was proved right by the media coverage and number of enquiries the publicity generated.

After appearing on the Today Show (Ch 9), they were inundated with requests for a similar product for swimming pools and in early 2008 Aquatain for Pools was released onto the market.

Aquatain could be applied to many countries in the world, not just Australia and we are excited to see the interest that is being generated both domestically and internationally.

Publicity Campaign

The campaign has been a huge success. Not only did we get them on Today (Ch 9) but we also got them on WIN TV and generated a huge number of articles in farming and rural media as well as metro media.
